Collar of Brenner

The collar of the Brenner separates the Austria from the Italy. It is, with 1372 m of altitude, the passage low of the Alps with open sky. He is traversed by the highway A13 ( Brennerautobahn ) with toll, opened on November 17th, 1963, and a railway line in addition to the old road. Work of the highway started in 1957 and, on this occasion, was built the Europabrücke which was a long time the most bridge of Europe with 190 m in height. ----
