Collar of Aphanize
The collar of Ap ʰ anize (delivery with a p aspired), or Aphanicé, is a collar of Low-Navarre mountain located at the top of Béhorléguy in . It is located at the limit of the basins of the Bidouze and the Nive. It dominates with north Eltzarreko ordokia and the source of Bidouze, in the south the valley of the Laurhibar an affluent of Nive.
The collar is leant with the peak of Béhorléguy (1265 m).
One reaches it since Saint-Jean-the-Old man and Béhorléguy by a pastoral road allowing to join Alçay or Aussurucq in Soule by the Col of Burdin Olatzé.
Is a Gouffre presenting there a vertical well of 328 m (second vertical of the world).
The name of Apʰanize is also carried by an affluent of the Saison.
