Coleraine
Coleraine ( Cúil Raithin in Irish) is a city of the Comté of Londonderry in Northern Ireland. Coleraine is located at the mouth of the Bann to 90 km in the North-East of Belfast and 50 km in the east of Londonderry.
Coleraine counts 24.089 inhabitants (census of 2001) with 5.000 students of the Université of Ulster. In terms of quality of life, Coleraine is one of the gravitational cities of Northern Ireland. The coast in the north of the city is the place where the prices of the ground are highest of the province, including front southern districts of Belfast. The city is rather calm, the night main activities (pubs, club, etc) are in the coastal towns of Portrush and Portstewart.
One finds near the landscapes and of the monuments with very strong capacity of attraction like the Chaussée Giants, Dunluce castle or the Glen off Antrim.
Coleraine is located on at the site of the last bridge on the Round of applause. It is near the city, in Mountsandel Fort, that one found the oldest houses of Ireland, going back to 7000 years before JC.
