Coinches is located at 6 km in the east of the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges.

History

The village included/understood formerly two parts: the Highone, chief town, concerned with the bailliage of Saint-Dié, and the Lowone around the church. One meets other C-Ws communication, Coënche or the Couanche patois, in the files of this locality.
