Cohésif is the adjective referring to the concept of Cohésion.
A material is known as cohesive, in opposition to friable (e.g. snows) or liquid (freezing), to announce its aptitude to remain stable under the action of force S interns. This property is called the cohesivity .
Adhesives
For the adhesives, one distinguishes the cohesive rupture , which intervenes in the body of material, from the adhesive rupture which occurs with the interface with the substrate.
