Cognitique
The cognitic is the science and technology of the automatic treatment of knowledge.
It associates the automatic, data processing and the social sciences and biological, like bases of competences of the engineers knowledge engineers.
It is a discipline of engineering recognized by the CTI, the Commission of the titles of engineer since 2003. The cognitique one is indexed at the heading “Information systems” of CDEFI like under-discipline of the information sciences.
History
The Informatique was defined in 1962 by Philippe Dreyfus like “science and technology of the automatic treatment of information”. Knowledge is conceived like a complex whole of information in relation between them, accessible to human comprehension.
The term “cognitic” was the subject of a registration of copyright in 1983 by Jean-Michel Truong, which defines this one as “scientific and practical discipline technical, connects data processing, which has as an aim the acquisition and the formal representation of knowledge and the modes of reasoning, for their simulation using computers”.
Formations
Several trainings of engineers into cognitic are available in France:
- the IdC form in three years of the engineers knowledge engineers, specialized in the trades of the Aeronautical and space, of the services and energy, the télécoms and information;
- ENSEIRB and ESTIA propose optional lesson relative to this specialization.
