Codium
The Codium constitute a kind among the green algas.
They are algae with trapped structure, whose tangled up organization of the tubular filaments gives a texture comparable with felt or Velours. The general form can be that of cords ramified as at fragile Codium , of balls as at Codium Bursa or of a cover papering as at Codium adhaerens .
