Codex of Berlin
The codex of Berlin was discovered in 1896 with Akhmin in Egypt in a tomb Christian woman. He is written in a dialect Copte on papyrus. Its complete translation was only completed in the Fifties.
It is currently preserved at Berlin.
Dated from 4th or 5th century after Jesus Christ, it contains 56 complete or fragmentary texts, of which the Évangile of Marie, who gives an important role to Marie Madeleine.
