Code consumption
In French Right, the Code of consumption is the code which gathers the legislative measures relating to the Droit of the consumption, which is a subset of the Droit of the businesses.
In France, the code of consumption originates in a law of 1978.
Contents of the code of consumption
In France, the code of consumption is composed of five books:
- Ier Book: information of the consumers and formation of the contracts
- Book II: conformity and safety of the products and the services
- Book III: debt,
- Book IV: consumers' associations,
- Book V: institutions.
The code of consumption begins well with the general obligation of information of the salesman of a or a service (delivers Ier, Ier title, Ier chapter).
