Cock Robin
Cock Robin is a group of music American pop-rock'n'roll, founded at the beginning of the Années 1980. It was active until in 1990, date on which the members separated. The group was reformed in 2006 at the time of the exit of its fourth album.
History
The group draws its name from a Comptine of the 17th century entitled the marriage from Cock Robin and Jenny Wren . In the beginning, it counted four members (the singer and composer-songwriter Peter Kingsbery, like Anna LaCazio, Clive Wright and Louis Molino III) but was quickly summarized with the two singers Kingsbery and LaCazio. As of the first album, left in 1985 and produced by Steve Hillage the individual, and When Your Heart Is Weak and The Promised You Made , Cock Robin was a great success in Europe, and more particularly in France, Germany, Italy and with the Netherlands.
Two years later left the second album, heading After Here Through Midland . This one was produced by Don Gehman, which had worked on albums of John Mellencamp and R.E.M.. The first individual one, Just Around The Corner , quickly became a hit in France and continental Europe (returning in Signal 20) where the group made a round of several months.
In 1989, a third album left, produced by Rhett Davies, the producer of Roxy Music, which is rather logical considering Roxy Music belongs to the influences of Cock Robin. The album was accompanied by new a hit, Worlds Apart - especially in France - and of a new round in Europe.
Little time after the group separated and Kingsbery continued a career solo in France, where it settled. In spite of the disappearance of the group, multiple compilations and best-of were regularly published, just as the most famous pieces continued to be diffused on the French radios.
In 2006, Cock Robin returned with a fourth album and a mini-round to France and with the the United States.
