Cobla
The cobla is an instrumental unit Catalan which uses the following musical instruments: Flabiol, tambourine, Tible, Tenora, trumpet, Fiscorn and Double bass.
The primitive cobles were 3:
-
the mitja cobla had quite simply a Flabiol with bag of gemecs
- the cobla of very quartans which was composed of a Sac of gemecs, Flabiol with Tambori and of a cheremeia, generally the largest tarota
- was the cobla will entera with a Flabiol with tambori, a bag of gemecs and several cheremeies…
They died with the arrival of the modern cobla, which proposed more modern instruments and with a sound righter.
It is due to the Catalan musician Pep Ventura (1817 - 1875) who instituted a whole of 11 musicians (1 flabiol-tambourine, 2 tibles, 2 tenores, 2 trumpets, 2 fiscorn, 1 double bass with cords).
The cobla is primarily intended for the accompaniment of the Sardane but can make concerts with various musical topics others that of Sardanes.
