Coast Guard Investigative Service

The Coast Guard Investigative Service ( CGIS ) is the division of the American coastguards charged with the Enquête S into the crimes where coastguards are implied. It is composed of civilians like soldiers of active and reserve, as well as special agents.

Theoretically, all the agents of the CGIS, which they depend on the departments investigations, criminal investigations, against-espionage or protection, are sworn in agents and are authorized to challenge suspects. This rule suffers like exception, a small number of military personnel of reserve.

The special agents of the CGIS are sworn in accordance with the title 14 section 94 of the Code of the United States.
