Coast-in-the Or

The Coast-with-L' Gold was the old European name of part of the African Western coast of the Golfe of Guinea. It corresponds primarily to the coast of current the Ghana. As for other names of African coasts (like the Ivory Coast or the Coast of the slaves), this name was given according to the “resources” which it offered to the European colonizing powers.
