Coal Chamber

Coal Chamber is a group Spooky core (founded in 1994 with the the United States) classified wrongly in the Nu metal, which leaves its first album éponyme in 1997. Often very depreciated for extreme simplicity even outrecuidante of its compositions, the sudden group in more throughout his career of the problems of agreement between its musicians, the guitarist going even until striking the frontman (singer) with its guitar. The bass player Rayna Foss-Rose will leave the group into 2001 before the round of the second album " Music" chamber; for maternity, and will be replaced temporarily by Nadja Peulen. In 2002, Rayna Foss-Rose definitively leaves the group to be devoted to the education of his/her daughter and the group turned quite naturally to that which had replaced it for the round, Nadja Peulen. The group will record an ultimate album, Dark Days , in 2003. After which the group will separate in not very friendly circumstances, after having transfered their beater.

Dez Fafara, celebrates leader of Coal Chamber, entrusts: One did not speak itself any more. During the repetitions, one composed without same addressing the word. One was not absolutely friendly any more, which is however important when one makes music together. One did not do even a telephone call for the Christmas Day for example. Dez in spite of very kept very strong bonds with Rayna. Today, Dez traverses the roads with its new group, DevilDriver, which, after a first album éponyme in 2003, found with joy the way of the charts with The Fury Of Our Maker' S Hand , a disc between Heavy, Trash, Death and Black.

The compositions of Coal Chamber are characterized by very dark undue arrangements, fronts of guitars simple and low registers supported by low a groovy. In spite of this simplicity, the group nevertheless manages to compose of the titles hookers and hopping ( Loco , Feed My Dreams , Glow ) which will have, finally, allured many people.

July 11th, 2003: after insistent rumors, it is the confirmation by Meegs on the site blabbermouth of Split of COAL CHAMBER. Their label nevertheless left " Giving The Devil His Due", a compil' of scarcities and demonstrations, a best off, and republished the 1st album, by adding demonstrations, new and a lives DVD containing 2 complete, live and the clip of the song " Loco".
