Co-operative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies
The Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies (CIMMS) is a joint agency between the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/Office off Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) and the University off Oklahoma set up to share their resources search for méso-scale, climate regional and other subjects related.
The CIMMS works mainly:
- Clouds convectifs and their structure
- Improvement of the Weather forecasting of méso-scale
- climatic Effects of the processes of méso-scale and their control
- socio-economic Impacts of the phenomena of méso-scale and their regional variation
- Research in weather radars Doppler
- Research in detection and monitoring of the climate changes.
