The village is located in the middle of the Boischaut-south in Berry.

Geography

Located at the limit of the Massif Central the landscape of Cluis shows us the zone of contact between the sedentary grounds of the Paris basin in north (calcareous) and the metamorphic grounds of the buttresses of the Massif Central in the south (mica schists).

That results in a landscape scrap-metal in the south which is transformed into cereal landscape in north.
