Club XXIe Century

The Club 21e Siècle is a network French being given for mission “of developing this formidable asset which is French diversity, by promoting the equal opportunity, without artifices nor preferential treatments”.

Origin

If the name of the club very refers to the sélect “Siècle”, the club recruits mainly in the elite of the children resulting from the immigration. It is mainly made up of banking, of heads of undertaking and senior officials whose majority are of foreign origin (the Maghreb, of sub-Saharan Africa mainly).

The initiative of the creation of this club was taken by Hakim el-Karoui, which chairs it, by Rachida Dati and an ex-adviser of Jacques Chirac, Béchir Mana, assistant secretary with the ministry for Defense. Activity

Since its creation, the club accommodated important politicians like Nicolas Sarkozy, Ségolène Royal, Alain Juppe, Jean-Pierre Raffarin, Philippe Séguin, Jean-Marc Ayrault and Laurent Fabius. The club receives also intellectuals like Emmanuel Todd, Marcel Gauchet or Alain Finkielkraut with which it started a reflection on the topic: “what a French? ”. The club currently produces a clip on diversity bound for the companies. The club since its foundation is chaired by Hakim El Karoui which is banker of businesses today and Essayiste. The vice-president is Rama Yade and the treasurer Chenva Tieu. It is a club of influence and at the same time of action.
