Club RTL
Club RTL is a Television channel Luxembourg general practitioner commercial private emitting in direction of the televiewers Belgian French-speaking people.
History of the chain
The Belgian society TVi SA created Club RTL in 1995 in order to supplement its offer of program in the French Community of Belgium at the side of RTL-TVi.October 3rd 2005, the board of directors of TVi SA unanimously decided not to require the renewal of its authorization of emission in the capacity as television of the French Community of Belgium for RTL-TVi and Club RTL. TVi SA had of a license of Luxembourg diffusion and an authorization of 9 years emission of the French Community of Belgium expired in December 2005. To put itself in conformity with the European directive Television without borders, TVi SA thus did not renew its Belgian authorization at the request of its principal shareholder, RTL Group, which made a point of preserving its radiation of European audio-visual group at the beginning of the Luxembourg.
TVi SA preserves its operational seat and its studios in Belgium with Brussels and was committed continuing to assume all the commitments entered into near the Superior council of the Audio-visual Belgian, but on the basis of voluntariate, which enables him where necessary to be freed from the constraints to contribute to the development of the cinema, and in particular with the independent production in the French Community, to respect the whole of the relative tendencies to descriptive televisual, the protection of the minors or the advertizing limitations, except for the rules envisaged in right European and transposed in the Luxembourg substantive law.
The same year, Club RTL is divided into three programs on the same channel: Kid' S Club (for the children) of 7:00 has 11:00 and of 15:20 18:00 has, Club RTL (series and films) of 11:00 has 15:20 and of 18:00 has 00:30, and finally RTL Sport (Sport) for tennis, the sports mechanical (GP motor bike and DTM), the Coupe of Belgium of football, the match of the team of Belgium of football and the Ligue of the champions.
January 8th 2007, Club RTL and all the activities of TVi SA left the buildings of the ARIANE avenue to move in to the 2 of the Georgin avenue to Schaerbeek, in the new buildings of RTL House located between the avenue Georgin, the Grosjean avenue, the Mommaerts avenue and the roadway of Leuwen, especially built to shelter all the radio stations and of television of the group.
