Clotaire III
Clotaire III is the king of all the Francs of 657 with 663 then king of the Francs of Neustrie and Burgondes of 663 with 673. It was born towards 652. He is the oldest son of the king Clovis II and the queen Bathilde. He reaches the throne at the 5 years age and dies in 11 years. As he was minor throughout all his reign, it is the queen Bathilde who exerts regency. He dies in 673. His/her brother Thierry succeeds to him.

" Thus Clovis, wire of Dagobert, took for queen a woman of foreign birth, named Bathilde, advised and distinguished woman, of which it had three wire, Clotaire, Childéric and Thierry. He had like Maire of the palate an energetic and wise man named Erchinoald. Also Clovis maintained it in its kingdom a peace without war. In the last years of its life, however, it lost the reason and returned the heart after having reigned eighteen years. The Francs also place on the throne his/her oldest son, Clotaire, at the side of his/her mother the queen mentioned above. "

" At the same time also died Erchinoald, the Maire of the palate. The Frank plunged by uncertainty, hold a council and place in this function and at this row Ebroin. In these days, king Clotaire, carried by a violent fever, died out in his youth after having reigned four years. His/her brother Thierry however succeeded to him on the throne. Because his/her brother Childéric was high on the throne by the Francs in Austrasie, near the duke Vulfoald. "
