Clostridium
The Clostridium is a kind Bactérie N gathering of the often sporulés bacilli positive Gram S Anaérobie S, strict Anaérobie for the majority, mobile in general via Flagelle S péritriches.
Phylogeny: Clostridium belongs to the family of the Clostridiaceae , Ordre of the Clostridiales, Classe of the Clostridia, Phyllum of the Firmicutes.
The kind Clostridium comprises many S of which some highly Pathogène S for the man.
More “famous” S:
- Clostridium tetani - the agent of the Tetanus
- Clostridium botulinum - the agent of the Botulism
- Clostridium perfringens - found in certain wounds Gangrène use (Gangrène gas) or in food poisonings.
- difficult Clostridium which can be responsible for the pseudomembraneuse colitis
Other S like C. acetobutylicum or C. butyricum , without danger to the man, is used for Fermentation S in industry.
Many species are present in the ground which is their natural habitat ( Clostridium sporogenes , Clostridium butyricum …).
