Clifford Roberts
Clifford Roberts (born the March 6th 1894 - deceased the September 29th 1977) was a administrator of American Golf .
Born with Morning Sun, in Iowa, it was used as President of the Augusta National Golf Club as 1931 with 1976 and was named " Chairman in Memoriam" after its death. It was also used as president of the Tournoi of the Masters as 1934 with 1976.
Being an astute Financial and Banking, Roberts made its mark on Wall Street as partner of Reynolds & Company. The business man of New York, in collaboration with the legendary golfor Bobby Jones, formed a partnership with the famous Architecte of golf course of Alister MacKenzie to plan the Construction Augusta National Golf Club and to establish the Tournament of the Masters there. During the first years, him and Jones invited the players with the tournament personally. Moreover, its amity with the 34e President of the United States Dwight Eisenhower forced this one to take temporarily its retirement of Augusta National during the Années 1950. Roberts committed suicide by Firearm in 1977.
