Cliffhanger is an American film of 1992 carried out by the realizer of Finnish origin Renny Harlin.
Synopsis
Gabe Walker (Sylvester Stallone), guide of high mountain and first-aid worker in the Rocky Mountains, share in the search of his/her friend Hall Tucker, wounded and wedged with his/her boyfriend at the top of a peak which it has just climbed. At the time of the intervention, an incident causes the deadly fall of the young woman and Gabe can nothing make. Traumatisé, it leaves the area and its trade… One year later, a plane crashe in the mountain. Hal Tucker is contacted by the survivors and leaves to their meeting, like Gabe which, returned at his place to take businesses, is put at the current of the situation and decides to help Hal. When they arrive on the spot, they are taken as an hostage by the survivors of the crash landing who seem well badly intentioneds…

Cliffhanger " Track with the sommet" in France, was presented except compétiton ahead first to the Cannes festival. It marked the return on the front of the scene of Stallone which had just undergone several resounding failures in the comedy.
