Saint Wulmar was born in the Boulonnais. He has his church in the village of Eecke. One finds his name spelled in Vulmar or Wulmer .
It is accommodated in the Abbaye of Hautmont as servant, after being given up by his wife. It left the monastery to live as a hermit with Eecke, in Flanders, in the hollow of a oak according to the legend for évangéliser the area.
