Cletus Spuckler

Cletus Del Roy Spuckler (voice Hank Azaria) is a fictional character of the animated televised series with successes Simpson . Typical a Redneck (perhaps best translated by the word “idiot”), although generally of good nature, it is thin, has hair châtains of an unspecified but shaven style behind, an attempt of moustache, and much at missing teeth. It is almost always depicts carrying a Marcel which shows the Tatouage of its left arm: a snake and a cranium.

Role in Simpsons

Cletus was introduced into an episode of season 5, My pal the elephant , in which it seems the idiot with the jaw falling contemplating Stampy, the elephant of Bart (in the American version, the voice of Cletus is slightly more serious than in its following appearances). Like the captain before him, it is one of the favorite characters to obtain a good laughter in the series and one of is preferred of the team. Into the episode Twenty two short films on Springfield , it was introduced into a song accompanied by a banjo:

Certains guy will never eat fitchet

More recently, Cletus suffered from an unspecified disease caused by the mercury which he drank of a thermometer. The disease has seriously affected its memory, it thus engraves what it observes in wood with a penknife. The chief Wiggum could find the trace of Bart after his fortuitous escape from the prison while following the marks of Cletus in wood. In Running away for shackles with 4 hands , Cletus also protested to be able to predict the future in wood; and indeed, its prediction that Wiggum would be attacked by a bear reveals exact later in the episode.

In the future, one learns that he becomes vice-president of the United States.

Its Relation with Brandine

Cletus has a continuous relation with Brandine, which is generally represented like his/her boyfriend or his wife, although their exact relation is somewhat vague. It is very often insinuated that both have family ties (for example in the episode Adieu Maude with a race of cars, Brandine notices that “Thin Cletus, why you must park yourself so close to my parents? ”, it with what Cletus answers “Of calm the my darling, they is my parents too! ”). This seems to be played of the stereotype that the Inceste is common at Rednecks.

In the episode Marriage at all costs , Homer (ordered priest on Internet) prepares to marry Cletus and Brandine. Reading a form, it request “Waits one minute… you are brother and sister?” Brandine answers timidly “Oh, one is full with things.” To make the things even more complicated, Brandine notices in Vendetta “are to You the best husband - and wire which I ever had!” If all this is right, “Man” is his/her beautiful mother and Brandine is his/her natural mother. Cletus would be then also the half-brother of Brandine. In the episode Little Big Girl , one of wire of Cletus draws a family tree. According to this one, Brandine is the girl of Cletus and extraterrestrial. Cletus and Brandine have thirty-nine children, of which one a sheep, and a another hot dog with legs.

Children

Cletus seems to be the father of a very broad range: when he claims 300 bretzels free with Marge, he calls his children: “Tiffany, Heather, Cody, Dylan, Dermot, Jordan, Taylor, Britany, Wesley, Rumer, Scout, Cassidy, Zoe, Chloe, max, Hunter, Kendall, Caitlin, Noah, Sasha, Morgan, Kyra, Ian, Lauren, Q-Bert, and Phil” (Q-Bert is a reference to the play of arcade of 1982, and Rumer and Scout are also the name of the two elder ones of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis).

Cletus and Brandine have also a girl called Condoleezza Marie, who was oddly exchanged with a sugar bag that Homer carried for a exercise of parental aptitude, and a girl called Rubella Scabies, whose name was inspired by a word spelled by LISA in a hearing for the annual contest of orthography. They have also a girl called Gummy Sue, appearing for the first time in hot Reality . In the fatal Bus , LISA sees Cletus which collects an animal crushed for a feast of marriage. In the course dialogs which follows, it would seem that Brandine was giving rise to a new child in the truck.

In a data base of a special episode Halloween, Brandine tries to give rise to a child to supplement his collection of costumes of the seven dwarves. The episode Cords of country bumpkin watch seven of the named children Spuckler Birthday (Birthday), Hook Meth (an English drug), Dubya (W), Incest (inceste), International Harverster, Jitney, and Witney. Brandine reveals however in Cletus which he is the father only of two of these children (what calls in question the paternity of Cletus with respect to the other children). In an episode, Brandine was shown being confined in a car, apparently without pain, and asking Cletus if he wanted to cut the “cord ombrilical well.”

Family name

The family name of Cletus is " Spuckler" ; in the episode Hunting for sugar , Cletus signs of its name (with a completely remarkable elegance, which leaves think that it is not as illiterate as one could think it) the petition of Margin to prohibit sugar in Springfield. In family Allocutions the name of Cletus Spuckler appears in a report. The letter-box in front of the shelter of Cletus in the video game The Simpsons Hit & Run is marked " Spuckler". But its family name seems " Del Roy" in the episode Behind the laughter . In All the tastes are allowed , the family name of Brandine is " Nolastnamegiven" (Pasdenom). In Cordes of country bumpkin , Brandine speaks about Cletus Del Roy Spuckler, which seems to indicate that Del Roy is its second first name.
