Clergy (play of palm)

Clergé is regarded as the best player of Jeu of palm in the middle of the 18th century. This sportsman French was the very first “world champion” of the history of the Sport after his sacring in 1740. He preserves his title until in 1765 when Raymond Masson succeeds to him the prize list. He was particularly good in double. Its birth dates and of death are unknown.
