History
Of university Clearness with Clearness
The name Clarté is resulting from the group which animated Henri Barbusse and Paul Valiant-Dressmaker at the beginning of the Années 1920. Its university section was then one of the only notable groups gathering of the communist students, in addition to the Federal union of the students: it was entitled university Clarté and published a newspaper of the same name.Of 1947 with 1956, whereas the UEC does not exist any more, the communist students of Paris, which belongs to the MJCF, will publish a newspaper called Clarté , which will appear every two months, adding up between 1947 and 1956 59 numbers.
Clearness (1956-1965)
When the French Communist party decides in July 1956, at the time of sound XIV {{E}} Congrès to recreate the Union of the communist students, a monthly magazine is envisaged: it will be called Clarté , as its Parisian predecessor (the title page will then specify new Clearness ).The monthly magazine is then directed by a member of the political office. It will be émancipera nevertheless of its supervision in the Années 1960: they are then editor associations who hold the main role. This emancipation goes hand in hand with that of the UEC with respect to PCF: the UEC is then divided between the partisans of the line of PCF and the “Italians” (thus named for their support for the theory of the Polycentrisme of Palmiro Togliatti).
The new Clearness
In 1965, PCF decides to take again in hand the UEC. It reaches that point thanks to the political of Roland Leroy and pleasing skill at its head Guy Hermier, near to the direction. The “Italians” (Pierre Kahn, then National secretary of the UEC, Andre Sénik, Bernard Kouchner) lose the direction of the UEC at the time of its VIIIe Congrès: they will leave the UEC or will be excluded from it. With their continuation, other sectors of the UEC, are excluded from the organization coed. In Paris, it is the fate of the group of the “Lettres sector” taken along by Alain Krivine, which creates the revolutionary Communist youth. End 1966, it is the “sector of the National university” which makes secession. The majority of its members join the Maoists groups. Some, such Robert Linhart to approach the working people “are established” in factory. To mark the rupture with the former periods, Clarté becomes New Clearness , after new 59 numbers. The monthly magazine will systematically be published until June 1977, where it disappears first once, after 60 numbers. Clarté becomes semi-monthly in November (and returns to number 1), then becomes again monthly in 1986. It appears thus until 1996.
