Cleaning

The screen cleaner is intended to retain the bulky matters and waste of all kinds contained in waste water. It is located generally upstream die of treatment of the waste water. The operation is more or less effective according to the spacing between the bars of the grid. One distinguishes:

  • the prédégrillage (spacing higher than 40 mm)
  • average cleaning (écaretement ranging between 40 and 10 mm)
  • fine cleaning (spacing ranging between 10 and 6 mm)
  • sifting (spacing ranging between 6 and 0,5 mm)
According to the characteristics of water to be treated and the following stages of the treatment, grids with different spacings can be placed the ones derrières the others or separately (finer cleaning just with the upstream of a stage of critical treatment). One distinguishes the grids with manual cleaning and the grids with automatic cleaning.
