Claves

The claves are a Musical instrument of percussion (Idiophone) of origin Cuba innate

16th century at the 18th century, the docks of the port of Havana are the vital organs of all the capital of Cuba.

The ankle S ( lava in Spanish) which one nails ( clavar in Spanish) to fix the parts of the Navire are in Bois of quality and hard (acana, jiqui, guayacan, jucaro, quiebrahacha…).

Entrechoquées with the rate/rhythm of the work, they become at the 17th century a Percussion instrument, the claves (mixture of the words clavar and lava ).

The clave held in the right Hand by one of the ends ( macho = male) in rate the other placed in the left Main comes to strike ( will hembra = Femelle).

The Pressure exerted by the Finger S, the way of rounding the Palm, and of course the force of the Shock, influence the stamp and the power of the its obtained.

The rate/rhythm played with the claves is called the Clave.
