Clausula
Clausule is a female name (coming from the Latin clausula , of claudere , to close). It is about the last member of a one period old stanza oratory.
Quotation of Fabrice Hadjadj in his article of the literary Barber of the Thursday, October 19, 2006 about the posthumous publication of the work of Gustave Thibon With the wings of the letter - new thoughts (1932-1982):
" Gustave Thibon… gives us here still a lesson of writing in Chamfort: bringing together of the opposites, dissimilation of the synonyms, swinging of the sentence with the lightning of the clausulae of Bossuet… "
Cf Henriette Levillain in her Comments of Memories of Hadrian of Marguerite Yourcenar: " the last effect of rupture is obtained by a systematic use of the clausula at the end of the paragraph and sequence. It is defined in Institution oratory of Quintilien like a " conclusion which strikes the auditeur" , and is described as a rhythmic structure whose nature is to stop the dash of the sentence to leave with the listener time voir."
