Claudio Coello
Claudio Coello (1642 - April 20th 1693), Spanish painter.
He endeavoured to join together the drawing of Alonzo Cano, the color of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo and the brilliances effects of Diego Velázquez, and produced beautiful works which were worth to him the title of Peintre of the king.
Luca Giordano having been called of Italy to do with the Escurial work on which Claudio Coello had counted for itself, it died about it of sorrow.
