Claudine Ledoux

Claudine Ledoux is the socialist mayor of Charleville-Mézières (the Ardennes). It was born the January 10th 1959 with Givet (the Ardennes).

Former speaker within the Teacher training school of Teacher of Charleville-Mézières (transformed thereafter into IUFM) within the framework of the continuing education of the primary schoolteachers, it is elected with the National Assembly appointed of the Ardennes on the district of Wall-Rethel of 1997 with 2002. It belongs to the Board of inquiry on the state of the rights of the child in France and it writes a report/ratio on the civil rights in their relationships to the administrations.

She is elected with the general advice for the Canton of Wall-Is of 1998 with 2001. In 2001, she is elected mayor of Charleville-Mézières. She takes part in the installation of the community of agglomeration of Charleville-Mézières, which she chairs.

In 2004, it is elected with the District council of Champagne-Ardenne. It is vice-president of the area, delegated to the international relations, the European questions and the transborder co-operations. It is invested candidate for the legislative election of 2007 in the First district of the Ardennes.

It received the academic Palmes in 2003.

Member of ATTAC, of the League of the Human rights, with the Socialist party, it is close to Laurent Fabius. It is renewed at the National council of the PS in 2005.
