Claudine Bertrand

Claudine Bertrand is a writer Canadian born with Montreal. She studies initially at the teacher training school, then with the Université from Quebec in Montreal, where she obtains a control in literary studies. She teaches since 1973 French with the Collège of Rosemont.

Biography

It is chroniqueuse of poetry with CISM, the radio of the University of Montreal, it took part in many conferences and with public readings, it animated workshops of writing of women, then coanimé the first Nuit with female the at the University from Quebec in Montreal (April 20th, 1985). It belongs to the committee of administration of the PEN Montreal.

Ambassadress of Québécois poetry, it offers abroad many readings, conferences and workshops of poetry. She in particular was corresponding to Paris for the 1st Congress of the poets of the world. She creates in 1999 the international collection of poetry “Opposite”, with the Editions Hyphen.

Claudine Bertrand is member of the Union of the écrivaines and the Québécois writers.
