Claude Vell

Claude Vell is a French mark of Vêtements for children founded in Paris in 1982. Recognizable with its logo consisted three green fellows fitted in red, it marked the childish Mode in the Eighties and Nineties by the originality of its style and a very free use of the matters and fabrics. Based in the heart of Paris, this famous mark of childish mode knew a broad diffusion in the world.

In 1981 Claude Vell comes to have its 3rd child, it is not " very not impressed by the childish fashion of the time with English tendency or américaine" : dresses with smocks for the almost advertizing girls and sweat shirts for the boys. Nothing of that corresponds to its taste affirmed as regards fashion. The minimalism is invading the creative sphere and it is in this spirit that Claude Vell wants to equip this " Baby garçon".

After having made their first weapons in the years 1970 in North America then in France with the mark of the same name applied to the female mode, Claude and his Bob husband create in 1982 the mark " Claude Vell enfantine" mode;. The first collection in Paris is confidential but very quickly the best shops bite with the innovation. The mark is exposed then to the " living room of the Enfantine" Mode; with the door of Versailles: as of this first participation it is an event.

Of a great sobriety, very comfortable and easy of maintenance, clothing Claude Vell shines of quantities of subtle, always elaborate details in natural fabrics and required colors: as many elements which make it possible to distinguish the mark, to pack the small ones and to allure the new very active moms.
