Claude Piegts

Claude Piegts Pied-noir born on January 1st 1934 with Castiglione (Algeria) was salesman with Algiers, engaged in the commandos Delta D of the O.A.S. directed by Roger Degueldre, he is shot with the Trou of hell to Marly-the-King (Yvelines) the June 7th 1962.

Biography

Claude Piegts made party of the commandos Delta D of the secret Organization armed (O.A.S.) under the orders with Lieutenant Roger Degueldre during the Guerre of Algeria. Took part with Albert Dovecar in the assassination of the central police chief of Algiers Roger Gavoury on May 31st, 1961). Judged and condemned to died by French justice (at one time when the capital punishment had not been abolished yet) and shot with Marly-the-King (Yvelines) the June 7th 1962.

Claude marked Piegts to have with the complicity of Albert Dovecar the March 15th 1962 taken part in the assassination of six teachers and leaders of the Castle-Royal social center of in the commune of El-Biar, close to Algiers - three Algerians and three French (of which max Merchant and Mouloud Feraoun) - leader of the educational Social centres created by German Tillion. Indeed, being already accused for the assassination of the central police chief of Algiers Roger Gavoury, they at the time, both were imprisoned and appeared between on March 26th, 1962 and on March 30th, 1962 in front of the special military tribunal of Paris.

Claude Piegts rests in the cemetery of Touvet in the Isere (France).
