Claude Péloquin

Claude Péloquin is a Poète, writer, singer, scenario writer and realizer Québécois born in 1942.

He wrote the words of several songs, of which most famous are " Mister Indien" and " Lindberg". The latter, interpreted by Robert Charlebois and Louise Forester, makes it possible Péloquin to gain the Prix Felix-Leclerc for the " better Canadian composition of the année" in 1969.

Its famous " You are not nauseated to die, band of cellars? It is assez." on mural Grand Theater of Quebec by Jordi Bonet in 1970 was registered.

In the middle of the years '80, it returns to the song through Robert Charlebois, that Péloquin feeds from texts for the album Super Position (1985). That gives some light pop songs/rock'n'roll, full with pep, with the sound of the years '80 ( It is not physical, It is electric, the love-elephant, Juke-Box, Zoo-Diac, Donne me, I Think Only of You, the usherette, Any Nuclear power ), but the album is only one mitigated success.

After having lived in the Bahamas, it returns to settle in Quebec in the years '90. Some de luxe editions of its poems accompanying by works in art books punctuate this time. This avenue of diffusion of these works enables him to be made appreciate corporative mediums, which order poetic praises to him.

In 2000, Péloquin carries out a return on disc with Everyone To the Sky , but the new parts and the second reading techno of Lindberg do not know at most that a success of regard.

At the beginning of 2007, one announces the publication of a new work of Péloquin at Lanctôt Éditeur.
