Claude Olievenstein

Born with Berlin, on June 11th 1933, coloured in Paris, it has escaped with the Nazis before becoming psychiatrist. It made part of its formation with Charenton with Dr. Henri Baruk which had the characteristic to be against the Neuroleptiques, it prohibited them even in its service. This passage marked it much and, May 68 having passed, it was interested among the first in France in the treatments of drug addicts in the hospital Marmottan. Thanks to him, Marmottan became an international reference where many specialists were formed. Its approach rested on an institutional and psychotherapeutic assumption of responsibility inspired by the Psychanalyse. Before the plague of the AIDS is not identified, he was highly opposed to the treatment by Méthadone and the sectarian drifts of certain communities " thérapeutiques". He considered that, in a certain way, the therapeutic methadone and communities evil managed by not-professionals were new forms of alienation.
