Claude Mossé is a French historian, specialist in the Histoire of the ancient Greece.

Professor emeritus with the University of Paris VIII, it wrote a score of works, mainly over traditional Greece (fifth century BC and fourth century BC) and the hellenistic period (of the end of fourth century BC to the Roman conquest ). Its works are translated in various languages (English, Spanish, German, Italian).
