Claude Mangot

Claude Mangot , lord of Villeray and Villarceaux, was a parliamentary and statesman French.

Resulting from a family estimated of members of Parliament, after being itself distinguished with the bar from Paris, Claude Mangot becomes Maître of the requests in 1600 before being appointed Swiss ambassador of France. On its return it is named first president of the Parlement of Bordeaux before being called with the Conseil of the king de France like advising, Secretary of State of the War and to the foreign affairs by the Maréchal of Anchor the August 9th 1616. At the time of the rehandling of the Council of November 25th, 1616, faithful of Concini, it is named Minister of Justice in the place of Guillaume of Squirrel fur, disgrâcié while Richelieu takes again its responsibility of advising State. During the fall of the Marshal of Anchor orchestrated by Louis XIII the April 24th 1617, it will be dislocated of its functions by the king who restores Squirrel fur and embastille Mangot which will die little of time afterwards.
