Claude Liauzu

Biography

Claude Liauzu (born the April 24th 1940 with Casablanca, Morocco, dead the May 23rd 2007) is a Historien French specialist in the history of the Colonisation.

Professor with the University of Paris VII (Denis-Diderot), it coordinated the work Colonisation. Right of inventory (Paris, Armand Colin, 2004) and directed the Dictionnaire of French colonization (Larousse, 2007).

It is one of the burning opponents to the French law of February 23rd, 2005 on colonialism.

The last combat of Claude Liauzu was to denounce creation by the president Nicolas Sarkozy of a ministry associating immigration and national identity. (the Ministry for Immigration, Integration, the National identity and Codéveloppement)
