Claude Lapointe

Born in 1938 with Rémilly (the Moselle), Claude Lapointe is the founder of the workshop of illustration of ESAD of Strasbourg and the trainer of a whole generation of French illustrators.

Collaborator of the review Okapi (Bayard presses) in the years 1970-1980, one owes him also the illustration of the very first novels published by Gallimard out of pocket for youth (in the collection “Folio junior”), in particular Grabuge and untameable Amélie and the War of the buttons . He also gave a figure of kid gouaillor to famous Tom Sawyer and to his assistant Huckelberry Finn.
