Claude Hurtubise
Claude Hurtubise is an editor Québécois born in 1914 with Westmount and deceased in 1999.
He is cofounder, with Jean Moyne, Robert Élie, Hector de Saint-Denys Garneau and Paul Beaulieu of the review the Changing . He founds the house of edition of the Tree. He then recruits several of the authors who took part before in the literary reviews the Changing and the New Changing . He is the first to publish outstanding authors of the Québécois literary history such as Anne Hébert, Roger Lemelin, Yves Thériault, Jacques Ferron and Gabrielle Roy. He then founds in 1960 the house of edition Hurtubise-HMH which publishes works of Rina Lasnier, Marie-Claire Blais, Robert Charbonneau, Roger Lemelin, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Pierre Vadeboncoeur, Guy Frégault and Fernand Dumont.
