Claude Hoin
Claude Hoin is a painter born with Dijon the June 25th 1750 and died in the same city in 1817. His/her father, Jean-Jacques Louis Hoin, are surgeon (born in Dijon the April 10th 1722, deceased the October 4th 1772).
In 1768, Claude Hoin enters the workshop of François Devosge. Left for Paris, it exposes in 1779,1782 and 1783 to the Living room of the Correspondence. In 1785, it is named painter of Mr Frère of the King . In spite of this function, it will cross without shade the Revolution. Of return to Dijon in 1802, it is named professor of drawing to the college of the city in 1804, then preserving of the Musée of the Art schools of Dijon in 1811. As indicates it several of its works, it was Franc-maçon: indeed, the signature is then followed of three points. It also signs (once to our knowledge) according to the Cryptographie of the Templiers.
