Claude Enrique de Rouvroy, comte de Santo-Simon

The Mouvement for an socialist alternative (Linkse Socialistische Partij in Flandres) is a movement of the Radical left in Belgium. It is unit (i.e. not divided according to linguistic cleavage) and asserts ideology Trotskiste.

History

The FARMHOUSE belongs to the Comité for an international worker and implies in international Résistance and Étudiants of left credits

Until 1999, the FARMHOUSE was called " Militant".

Its program (available here) proposes, inter alia, the 32h/semaine without loss of wages and with compensatory recruitings to decrease unemployment, as well as the arrrêt of privatizations and liberalizations.

Very active in the Movement studied and Antifascist, it is implied more and more in the Lutte S Syndicale S.

Today

  • Their publication monthly magazine “Socialist alternative” is diffused everywhere in the country.
  • Its movement of young people ''' EGA ''' is active in all the universities in Belgium and many colleges and high schools.
  • the FARMHOUSE organizes one annual weekend of debates and discussions goshawks of the ideas socialist revolutionists.
  • the FARMHOUSE acceuille each year the summer school of CIO (Committee for an international worker).

Originality

Its originality lies in its countryside for the construction of a " New party of the workers " with the left of the Social democracy (PS and SP.a) while basing itself on the analysis of the " bourgeoisification" of these parties, countryside which sees apparently its concretization with the creation of the Comité for another Policy.

With regard to the international policy, the FARMHOUSE tries to overcome divisions of the population on religious and Community basis by advancing the need for the unit of all the workers. Neither two separate states nor a state linked on capitalist basis can bring solution. The FARMHOUSE supports, inter alia, a proposal aiming at creating two distinct socialist states between Palestine and Israel, built-in a socialist federation of the Middle East. Instead of assembling people one against the other, it acts of a position aiming at combining the Palestinian workers and israëliens against their clean bourgeoisies.
