Claude Carrier
Claude Carrier is a Egyptologist French. Doctorand with the practical School of the high studies where the subject of its thesis is “ the types of subordination in the Texts of the sarcophagi ”, he is member of the Group of meroitic studies of Paris and of the French archaeological Mission of Sédeinga (Sudan). In November 2000, he was prize winner of the Fondation Prince Louis de Polignac (Institut of France) for the publication of the Répertoire of meroitic epigraphy - Corpus of the inscriptions published (Volumes with, Académie of the inscriptions and the humanities).
The needs of the researchers working on computer, it worked out, with Claude Rilly, Aminata Sackho-Autissier and Olivier Cabon, a family of six font faces, adapted for the transcription of the signs meroitic, on Macintosh and PC.
