Claude Bolduc

Claude Bolduc is a writer Quebec ois belonging to the movement Science-fiction and fantastic Québécois (SFFQ).

Specialist in the Fantastic news and terror, Claude Bolduc published its first text in 1989 in humble a fanzine, before publishing of them tens of others a little everywhere in the francophonie, in Fanzine S, Magazine S, Revue S, Collectif S and Anthologie S.

Explorer on the dark sides of the human heart, of through unhealthy which lie of each one of us, it practices the traditional vein as much that the modern vein of the fantastic one. While excavating beyond his production known as professional, one discovers, in the universe underground fanzines, an abundant production of humorous texts which contrast with its news of terror. It is never easy to join together the production of a short story writer, but one finds a selection of news of terror covering the period 1993-1998 in the collection Les turbid Yeux and other tales of the moon noire (Editions Winds of West, those of Quebec). In 2006 appeared, in the same editor, the collection Histoire one evening and others épouvantes which covers the period 1999-2005. Although not profiting from a very broad diffusion, these collections of news are available for the European public via the Bookstore from Quebec to Paris, which has a small distribution network in France.

In addition to his production for the adult public, Claude Bolduc also wrote a half-dozen of fantastic novels for the adolescent public with the Editions Winds of West (Gatineau) and at Médiaspaul (Montreal), of which a trilogy.

In addition to its production of writer, it also made work of anthologist, choosing authors whom it brings together around a topic. After a first test amateur and microphone-published entitled Sourires (editions To come, Brompton) in 1994, it directed two =collectifs of fantastic news for the adolescent public to the Editions Winds of West (Gatineau), La Maison pain and other stories of peur in 1996, and Petites cruautés in 1999. In 2002 appeared, after two years of work, the anthology Petites dances of Macabré (Winds of West, Gatineau), an anthology of thirteen macabre news for the adult assistantship putting in the high-speed motorboat authors of Quebec, Belgium and France.

A short fantastic novel, Entre the arms of the lovers réunis, appeared in 2005 in L' year of the science fiction and fantastic the québécois, with the Alire editions.

In 2007, it gained the Grand Prix of the science fiction and the fantastic inhabitant of Quebec.

- Author invited to the retrospective “Edgar Allan Poe, 150 years already… Retrospective of the fantastic literature”, with Walk-in-Famenne (Belgium).

- Prize winner of the second price to the contest of news “the Price of the Line”, organized within the framework of the Fair of the book of Ligny, in Belgium, with the fantastic news “Old skin” (published thereafter under the title “Old women skins”).

2001

- Finalist at the Solaris Price with the fantastic news “Winks”.

- Author invited to the Boreal congress of science fiction and fantastic inhabitant of Quebec (Montreal).
