Claude Aveline (pseudonym of Evgen Avtsine ), born in Paris the July 19th 1901, died in Paris the November 4th 1992, is a writer, resistant Poète and French.

Biography

Eugene Avtsine is born in 1901 in Paris where his/her parents, fleeing the racial segregation of which they are victims in Russia, settled in 1891. The whole of the family obtains in 1905 French nationality. After first years from school in Paris with the Henri-Iv college then, his parents settling with Versailles, with the college Shakes, Eugene Avtsine is in 1915 with Dinard voluntary nursing auxiliary then enters to the college Janson-of-Sailly but its health worsens and it must give up its studies. Beginning again, it will not go at the end of the First and remains in 1918 and 1919 with the Cannet close to Cannes. It is there that it starts to write and adopts the pseudonym of Claude Aveline.

1919 see appearing its first poems in reviews. It makes especially, at the time of the lawsuit of the assassin of Jaurès, the knowledge of Anatole France which accommodates it in its intimacy until its death in 1924 and of which it will not cease serving work and the memory, in particular by the celebration of its centenary throughout the world like a symbol of the Release and the meeting of its political and social articles ( " Thirty years of life sociale" , 4 volumes). In 1920 a relapse leads Claude Aveline to the mountain. On its return to Paris he becomes the secretary of a scholar, founder of the first collection for modest bibliophiles, thus making his training of editor of art, having decided to be it in his turn, and answers an invitation which is made to him write the " Marvellous Legend of the Buddha " .

Exempted national service it can start the first volumes which appear in 1922 " at Claude Aveline éditeur" and will be worth to him to be called " the youngest editor of the monde". In eight years it publishes about fifty works, in particular in its " Collection philosophique" ten volumes of Saint-Evremond, Voltaire, Diderot, Renan, France, Remy de Gourmont, Maeterlinck, Andre Gide, Valéry, Duhamel. After a new health accident in 1923, Claude Aveline remains four years with Make-Romeu where it meets a young patient, Jean Vigo, that it will support until his death in 1934. After that of his wife a few years before the war, he will become the tutor of their little girl and will found in 1951 the " Price Jean-Vigo " it will chair the jury during 25 years.

The reception made with its first novels pleasing in 1932 the editor close shop with the profit of its own works and its taste for cinematographic criticism. Whereas one awaits from him volume II of his " Trilogie" Claude Aveline written, spending the days to the police headquarter, a detective novel with the peremptory foreword (" There are not bad kinds, it is only bad écrivains"), " The Double Death of Frederic Belot" which gives to the police kind " its letters of noblesse" (Boileau-Narcejac). As from 1934, in years of political agitations and social, it is, without adhering to any party but " companion of route" Communists, present at the lawsuit of the minors of Oviedo (1935), at the constitution of the Houses of the Culture and takes part in many meetings and congress, like that of the Writers for the defense of the culture with Valence and Madrid in full civil war (1937), its interventions composing later the collection of the " Duties of the esprit" (1945). Claude Filbert publishes also novel Prisoner (1936) which one could support that Albert Camus had been inspired for its Étranger , then a new police officer (“the trouble it is that I had killed my police officer of the first blow, and even twice, I had not provided that it would have to take again service. Fortunately, I had not made it die too young person. Thereafter, I thus told adventures arrived before 1932").

In 1939 Claude Aveline, mobilized on his request, sticks to Versailles with Nicolas Grésy, who will become his adoptive son (disappeared in 1977). Reformed definitively, it founds as of August 40 with Jean Cassou and Marcel Abraham, " déchus" their public office, an small group which enters soon in relation to the " network of the museum of the Man " , organized by Boris Vildé and Anatole Lewitsky. A French agent of the Gestapo will dismantle the network: more than one hundred arrests during 1941, ten death sentences and seven executions in 1942. In 1941 Filbert leaves Paris to find in Lyon Louis Martin-Chauffier. Installed with Collonges-with-Mount-with Or, their house will become one of the principal meeting places of this zone. Claude Aveline takes part in the foundation of " Combat " and gets busy to put in contact increasingly many clandestine movements. " The Subscriber of the U" line; , third of the police officers, whom he writes then will run up against the refusal of the German censure and will appear only after the Release. In 1943, occupied whole France, Aveline enter in clandestinity under the name of Louis-Marie Martin thanks to an out-of-date military record, escape by miracle in April 1944 from an arrest and joined Arras. The same year it publishes under the pseudonym of " Minervois" Idle period .

Claude Aveline takes again with the Release his activities: writings of circumstance, demonstrations francians, conferences abroad (all l'" AOF " in 1946 for the Alliance Fran1caise, then the Close East). In 48, it is one of the first titists after Stalinist excommunication and remains later two years in Yugoslavia. The health accidents accompany it (enucleation of the right eye). Claude Aveline receives in 1952 the Grand Prix of the Société of the Men of letters for the whole of his work. He is member of the Executive council of the European Société of culture, founded with Venice in 1950 by Umberto Campagnolo, which, in full cold war has as an action to found the dialog between the people. The last two volumes of its Trilogie appear in 1952 and 1955. He turns then to radiophonic art ( " The bestiary inattendu" and " It is true, but the croire" is not needed; which is worth the Prix Italia to him). During the twenty following years, it continues its experiments in all the kinds which the microphone can propose. In 1976 the Company of the dramatic authors decrees his Price of the Radio to him. In 1957 it publishes the Words of the end , 750 words of dying famous, of which 150 were studied in read initially on the waves by the author.

As from 1956 Claude Aveline asks his friends painters to draw or paint the " Portrait of Bird-Which-Does not exist-Pas" , poem which it wrote in 1950, translated today into 55 languages (included in " De" ). Through its 108 portraits by artists as different as Henri-Georges Adam, Atlan, Bertholle, Roger Bissière, Chastel, Leon Gischia, Mario Prassinos, Music, Gustave Singier, Maria Elena Vieira da Silva or Jacques Villon, the unit constitutes, on only one topic around of which meet figurative and surrealist, nonfigurative and abstract, a single anthology of the painting of the Années 1950 - 60. In 1963 Filbert in fact gift with the National museum of modern art of Paris where it is exposed, before joining the Center Pompidou which again presents it in 1978. Nearly twenty years later a second unit will count 86 portraits, representative of the years Années 1970 - 80.

In 1970 the Cat's eye , the last of its police officers, appears more “traditional” of the Suite . In a long poem " Monolog for a disparu" evokes in 1973 his/her close friend Jacques Lion, assassinated with Auschwitz. The same year the High Evil of the creators wants to be a “polemical meditation” on the evolution of the letters, and arts in the Années 1960. As from 1974 Claude Aveline undertakes memories. During a round in 1960 in Canada the crossing of Rock in the train gets a fantastic vision to him which to obsess it fifteen years before becoming " Hoffmann Canada" , a radiophonic part, then in 1977 its last novel. In 1978 Claude Aveline constitutes a bottom with the library of Versailles which will gather its dedicated works, its manuscripts, its books, its correspondence, ten thousands of volumes of its library and its bust carried out by Zadkine, last work of the sculptor (" I am the last Zadkine " , it in a homage written after its disappearance in 1967 noted painfully).

In the years 1980, whereas about thirty its books are published or republished, in particular the police officers in collections of pocket, Claude Aveline finishes a " biography imaginaire" , " Treasures in Complicity. Life and the work of the P Lembourg" , adds to the reflections of " With yourself and coetera" the remarks " Of needle and thread to the Finishes of Après" , publishes an ultimate homage to its Master, " Anatole France Vivant" , continues its memories and receives the International prize of the European Company of Culture (1986). As from 1968, practical Filbert what Jean Cassou names the " painting with the feutre" and carries out hundreds of drawings which will be exposed in Parisian galleries, in Brussels, Ljubljana, Zagreb or Belgrade. “I like myself the play of the lines as I like myself the play of the words” says it, whereas it mixes them while making dialog the image and the title, often humorous, that it gives him, true " small poem in soi". A retrospective is presented by it in 1991 to the Musée Bourdelle in Paris, in a few months of its disappearance.
