Claude-François-Xavier Millot , born the March 5th 1726 with Ornans and dead the March 20th 1785 with Paris, is a man of the church and historian French.
Millot between any young person at the Jesuit S, sign in several their colleges, of which that of Lyon àù it teaches rhetoric. Put at the variation because it had spoken in praise of Montesquieu, it leaves the Society of Jesus. Appointed large-vicar by the archbishop of Lyon, written Millot of the historical accounts and obtains in 1768 a pulpit of history to the college of the Nobility, founded with Parma by the marquis de Felino. Received with the French Academy in 1777, it is named tutor of the duke of Enghien in 1778.
