In 1964
Within the framework of UIC, the classification of the Coach S and cars of railroad are defined by an international payment. The number of Immatriculation comprises twelve digits according to the following diagram:- figures 1 and 2: Code of the mode of exchange
- figures 3 and 4: code of the immatriculateur organization
- figures 5 to 8: features of the vehicle
- figures 9 to 11: sequence number
- figure 12: calculated key (self-checking)
Calculation of the key of control
The calculation of the Clé of control is done while multiplying alternatively by 2 and 1, of the right-hand side to the left, all the figures of the number of coach. Then one calculates the sum of all the figures obtained. The complement of this total to higher ten gives the self-checking. This one is written following the number of coach, separated from this last by a hyphen.Examples
