Classification of the States and territories Indian by rate of elimination of illiteracy
The numbers in the following table come from the Recensement of 2001. They indicate the levels of elimination of illiteracy of the populations of the States and Territoires of the India , elimination of illiteracy like indicating the whole of knowledge in reading and writing making it possible a person to be functional in company , and the classification of these States and Territoires according to this criterion.
The Territories are identified by the color dark green.
