Classic21

Classic 21 is a directed Belgian radio of Public service Rock/pop traditional (between 1950 and our days). It belongs to RTBF and was created on April 1st, 2004, dates to which Radio 21 yielded the place to two new stations: Pure FM and Classic 21. Its director is Marc Ysaye.

Its slogans are " When the Rock'n'roll becomes traditional " , " Classic 21, the original soundtrack of your life " and " Listen to the original ". This radio wants to be at the same time turned towards the history of the rock'n'roll, (with emissions like the " Making of" who tells the every day with 15:00 the history of the realization of an album headlight, or the " classic rock" of Sunday morning), and towards the rock'n'roll such as it is done today, (with the new titles diffused regularly and the festivals to which the radio brings its contest.

Classic 21 is the direct heiress of Radio 21 with which it took again the concept " Music and News". It is also the principal chain of radio-traffic in French-speaking Belgium, tool become essential for any motorist. Of share its geographical location, the radio diffuses also widely on the North of France and, not having an equivalent, receives a broad audience there.

Among the organizers of the chain, let us note the presence of Marc Ysaye, Laurent Rieppi, Jean-Paul Smismans, Valerie Pirotte, Pierre Guyaut, Jacques de Pierpont, Eric Leyders, Walter de Paduwa, Pierre Lorand, Eric Laforge, Melanie Delhaye, Martine Matagne, Christine Goor, Claire Gendrot, Michel Gaupin, Guy Lemaire, Nicolas Blanmont, Etienne Dombret, Manu Braff, Francis Delvaux, Marie-Amélie Mastin, Luc Paquier and Bernard Dobbeleer.
